Maples Adolescent Treatment Center
The Maples Adolescent Treatment Center in Burnaby has established a new community-based treatment program, the Bifrost Program, tailored to caring for youth with conduct disorders. Simon Fraser University, the evaluating organization, has indicated that preliminary results are encouraging. At roughly two thirds the cost of a residential model, Bifrost served 24 families in the community over the past year.
Increased our capacity to care for youth with serious and persistent mental illness by increasing the Maples Dala Program from 6 to 8 beds and establishing a new day treatment program for 4 additional youth.
